Dyonna serves as Power Arm Performance's Director of Softball and Head Softball Trainer. She approaches every lesson and program with the philosophy of combining safe athletic development with positive mental reinforcement to help her clients improve. In addition to overseeing the creation and execution of Power Arm Softball training programs, she provides private/group instruction, along with sport-specific strength and conditioning training.
Coach Dyonna has been pitching since the age of nine. Her passion and sincere love for the game was instilled in her at a very young age by her father. Coach Dyonna was a 4-year varsity player at Wood-Ridge High School (NJ), collecting accolades like team captain and All-League pitcher. She is a former player for the Central Jersey Lightning and Livingston Thunder, as well as various other elite travel teams.
Following high school, Dyonna played softball for 4 years at Felician University. A member of the National College Athlete Honor Society, Chi Alpha Sigma, she was also named to the 2017 CACC All-Academic Team. After completing her degree in Biology, with minors in Chemistry and Psychology, coach Dyonna realized that her passion for coaching younger athletes is undeniable. Always intrigued by the field of science and medicine, she strived to find a tie between the two and her true passion- softball.
Some of her coaching experience includes the 18U Elite (Heist Organization), 18U NJ Rage, and Academa Elite Softball. Coach Dyonna was the JV Softball Coach at Immaculate Conception High School in 2018 as well.
"My dad would tell me every day how important practicing was and it was not until my career was over that I realized a lot of missed opportunities that were in my control. My goal in life is to help lead aspiring softball players in the right direction, with the right tools and knowledge to create success. My past experiences help to enlighten my clients on the important things in life, as well as how the skills you develop as an athlete will build a great foundation for the 'real world' ".
Focusing on the importance of fitness and nutrition, coach Dyonna is a certified personal trainer by the American Sports and Fitness Association (ASFA®). She specializes in pitching, fielding, hitting, and speed/agility training. Coach Dyonna is CPR/BLS certified by the American Heart Association.
